Douglas S. Baek received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (with a minor in Criminology, Law & Society) from the University of California, Irvine in 2005. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California in 2008. While completing his Juris Doctor at Southwestern Law School, Mr. Baek served as the Chair of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program, President of the Public Interest Law Committee, and President of the General Relief Advocacy Project.

Mr. Baek joined Krohn & Moss in 2010, and concentrates his practice in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and related California and other state consumer protection statutes. Mr. Baek advocates on behalf of consumers who are aggrieved by unfair, abusive, and deceptive debt collection practices of debt collectors.

Through his clerkship with the United States District Court Judge for the Central District of California, Mr. Baek has acquired an insight on what it takes to win a case by being able to analyze and articulate arguments that are most effective in the eyes of the law. Through his experience in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, where he was in court on a daily basis prosecuting felony cases, Mr. Baek gained the courtroom experience that serves him and his clients well. Through his experience as a plaintiff personal injury attorney, Mr. Baek acquired the tools and skills necessary to advocate on behalf of consumers in need of protection and representation.

Mr. Baek is an active member of the California State Bar, and is also admitted to practice in all districts of the United States District Courts in California.

Outside of work, Mr. Baek volunteers his time at Southwestern Law School, where he serves as a competition coach for students in the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. Mr. Baek trains student advocates who compete in national trial competitions.
